Half Empty

Definitely half-empty. We don’t usually iron our hearts in public but after seeing the extent of devastation in Haiti all week and hearing of the passing of Howard Zinn earlier today we’re shocked to find J.D. Salinger is no longer with us at 91.

J.D. wrote “THE CATCHER IN THE RYE” back in 1951 – the novel about a prep school kid named Holden Caulfield who’s expelled for failing grades as he confronts the phoniness of adult life. Can’t recommend it enough. Our prayers go out to kin of the Glass family everywhere.
